Banebirth sequel has officially BEGUN
After taking some time to rest and read more after finishing Green Before Me, I’ve officially resumed the writing of the sequel to Banebirth, my debut novel. Already, I’m noticing how much easier it feels to write, and how much more confident I am with my ideas. Already I can tell this will be such a fun adventure! I can’t wait to make another writing update. To the page and beyond!

Green before me is complete
After hearing about Spotify’s Audiobook Selects program, I decided to throw my hat in the ring and write a trope-based romance novella! It’s against so many of my writing instincts to write based on tropes, but it was a fun exercise, especially with the time pressure of conceiving, writing, editing, and finalizing the entire 25,000-word story in a month and a half (which I will never attempt to do again 😭).
Although I know I will likely not be selected for this very competitive program, I’m content with my attempt, and I’m proud to have taken the opportunity. My enemies-to-lovers trope-based story became Green Before Me, a story about a guy who falls for his middle school bully when they team up to get revenge on their mutual ex who gave them the same curse. If you’d like to experience this valiant attempt, check out the story on my writing samples page!

Release day!
After several years fostering an idea, transcribing it, outlining, writing, despising words, Reading, Dreaming, rewriting, editing, dreading, doubting, formatting, writing, deleting, believing, setting a date, and finally submitting a final draft…IT IS FINISHED.
Thank you to everyone who supported this journey. Now looking from the other side, one thing I’ve realized is that it’s impossible to do this alone. While MUCH of the process is lonely, the words that make it in front of people’s eyes ARE a collaboration between the writer and all the other people who love and support them. Invariably, THis is the case with banebirth.
Thank you to all who have helped me reach this point, and to all the people who take the time to read Banebirth. You’ve made my dream come true!
